“You Took The World By Storm” – Trevor Noah To Black Coffee On The Daily Show

South African DJ, Black Coffee was a guest on The Daily Show hosted by Trevor Noah.

It was an interesting conversation as both South African Men were excited to see how well they are doing to make their country proud.

The legendary hitmaker and DJ, Black Coffee spilled a lot of tea on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah South Africans were happy to see both men representing their country and continent and they couldn’t contain their excitement.

Trevor who was visibly  excited to have a fellow country mate sitting on his interview chair said to Black Coffee, “you have taken the world by storm”, Black Coffee responded, ” doesn’t it sound like your story?” Black Coffee who is pretty much proud of where he is from, elaborated on why he choose a particular sound which signifies “home” to him and he is not interested in copying the Western form of music.

He told Trevor about his plans to build a school and neighbourhood in Johannesburg, South Africa because that’s where he is from. Black Coffee later added that Africa is not been portrayed rightly because all the best things can be found in Africa.

Black Coffee said;

“We always see African as an inferior place, all the best things we’re on TV, it took away so much from the continent and we’re trying to reverse and create a space

in Africa that will inspire all Africans to want to stay and create a future.”

He talked about his initiative called “Not a Jungle” . He explained that the initiative is a platform for Africa artistes who have creative minds and for the world to hear the beautiful voice in Africa.

Black Coffee quickly used the platform to announce his tour that will commence from November 10 to April 2020 and Usher will be on tour with him.

It was an interesting conversation and both men were proud to see how far they have come.
