In what comes as quite exciting news for all Nigerians, our very own Rema has been featured in Barack Obama’s summer playlist.
Every summer the Obamas – Barack and Michelle – are known to release a playlist of songs that they have been jamming all season long and we made it people!
The list is quite extensive ranging from Drake & Rihanna’s “Too Good” to Beyoncé & JayZ’s “Mood Forever” and our very own Mavin Records’ Rema’s “Iron Man” who happens to be the only Nigerian artist in the 44-song list.
Sharing the list on his social media pages, Barack Obama wrote;
With summer winding down, here’s a sampling of what Michelle and I have been listening to — some new, some old, some fast, some slow. Hope you enjoy.
Subsequently, Rema has been trending on the social media platform, Twitter since the news went viral. Indeed, numerous Nigerians are fascinated with the announcement. In fact, one Nigerian who couldn’t curtail his excitement is Rema’s record label boss, Don Jazzy.
Don Jazzy who is the founder of Mavin Records shared the news on his Twitter page with the caption;
