Xenophobia: AKA Demands Apology From Burna Boy

AKA Worldwide

South African rapper AKA has demanded an apology from Burna Boy over some of his comments during the Xenophobia scandal a few months back.

This comes in the wake of news that Burna Boy will be performing in South Africa.

AKA said in some tweets that all South Africans want is an apology and that if he is truly an African giant, he should prove it.

The rapper was responding to an old tweet from Wizkid who expressed his disappointment at the way some celebrities have been comporting themselves lately.

In his tweet, Wizkid said:”I’ve seen so many insensitive and dumb stupid comments from You celebrities and I’m so disappointed! This is not a time to fight or point fingers!! Let love lead. Use your head! ❤️ u fucking dumb fucks! People are dying foreal! Watch what you say!”

The rapper responded to this saying: “Leadership. I am willing to swallow my pride and put an end to this division. @burnaboy Are you?”

He later added: “Ek se … @burnaboy all we want is an apology. We know 🇿🇦 is not perfect. But we took you in as our own before you reached these levels. You say you are an AFRICAN GIANT, prove it.”

There was even something of a veiled threat in what AKA was saying as he responded to someone who mocked him saying that Burna Boy would still ‘Knack am something’. He responded that the African Giant might encounter problems in SA.

“This is not a joke. Mina I still want to go perform in Lagos and make it back safely to my family. Don’t you want the same for him?” he said.
