The finale of Game of Thrones featured Jon Snow murdering Daenerys Targaryen after she became a dictator hellbent on ‘liberating the world’
Drogon, the only dragon left of the trio of dragons, comes right up and sees what Jon has done. He burns down the Iron Throne and then he carries his mother’s lifeless body and flies away.
So that’s that, she’s gone, forever right?
Well, not to some people.
Theories have begun to spring up as to how Daenerys Targaryen can still be alive.
The most popular theory out there postulates that Kinvara, a Red Priestess of the Lord of Light resurrected her after Drogon flies off to the east where Volantis is located.
For those who do not remember Kinvara, she was in season 6 and when asked by Tyrion to spread positive news about Daenerys to the common folk, she said that she actually believed that Dany was “the prince who was promised” or Azor Ahai.

There was also tweets like this one with the person saying: “Drogon was last spotted flying east, towards Volantis.”

There is also the theory that postulates that perhaps Dany was a wog who can take over the mind of an animal it controls. The only established wog in the series is Brandon Stark, but some theories speculate that Daenerys might have also been one and that she took over Drogon’s mind upon death and that this is why she didn’t burn Jon, but rather burnt down the throne.
In the book, A Dance with Dragons, the prologue featured a wildling who upon death, took over the body of one of his wolves.
The show hasn’t given credence to any of these theories, so, perhaps the cold, hard truth is a lot simpler: Daenerys Targaryen is just plain old dead and is not going to come back as anything.
It’s perhaps the more disappointing option, but it’s also the most likely one.
