Wendy Williams’ Son, Kevin Hunter Jr. Doesn’t Want His Mom To Rush Into Dating

Kevin Hunter Jr

A couple of weeks ago, Wendy Williams revealed on her show that she’s dating a new man and he’s a doctor.

In her words;

I’m not on the market anymore. I’m not in love. I don’t know how I’m doing. I’m not in love but there’s somebody that I’m crazy about.

She added;

It helps that he’s a doctor. He’s been married. His kids are in their 20s, and yes, he’s black. He’s brown-black.

However, after the revelation, Wendy’s son, Kevin Hunter Jr. feels it is too early for his mom to move on so quickly from his dad. According to sources close to the 18-year-old, they claim that Kevin is “protective” of his mom and doesn’t want her to get tied down too soon or potentially get her heart broken.

A source said;

Kevin Jr. is all for his mom dating and getting out there to meet people, but at the same time he doesn’t want her to rush into things too quickly or jump into a serious relationship with anybody at this point.

He thinks it’s healthy for his mom to flirt and play the field, but catching feelings for somebody is a whole different story.

Kevin is very protective of his mom and doesn’t want her to get tied down too soon or potentially get her heart broken.

You’d recall that this isn’t the first time that Kevin Jr. has shown us how much he cares about his mother’s well-being. He was recently charged to court for assault after he got into a physical fight with his dad over the news that his dad has a child with his alleged mistress. Luckily his case was dismissed after all charges against him were dropped on July 9, 2019.

Wendy has since filed for divorce from her enstranged husband. However, for her son’s opinion on whether she should be dating yet or not, I don’t think that matters to her because the 55-year old was previously seen frolicking with 27-year old Marc Tomblin just some couple of weeks after her split from Kevin Hunter.

Well, let us all hope that she finds Mr. Right in due time.
