Tyler Perry has impressed the entire world with his absolutely massive 134-hectare (330-acre) studio and it will now be the location for this year’s miss World pageant.
The media mogul opened the doors to his new studios a few weeks ago and it has since then been hosting event after event from movies to the the fifth Democratic debate
The pageant will take place on the 8th of December and will feature women from over 90 countries.
It’s another great achievement for Tyler Perry who only recently got his star on the Hollywood walk of fame and whose studio has inspired articles and discussions about just what a game changer it is.
Tyler Perry himself meanwhile, was talking about his past in a recent interview where he recalled one time he had to discipline his child.
In an episode of ‘The Real’, Perry, who suffered a rough childhood, revealed how he once disciplined his son for being rude to his nanny and how the exchange broke him up.
“I had to discipline [Aman]. He was really rude to the nanny and he was in the bathroom arguing with her… I get down to his level and I’m talking to him and I said, ‘Listen, what are you doing? You don’t do this. This is unacceptable. You’re not going to disrespect her. You’re not going to disrespect your mom. You’re going to do what they say to do.'” he said
“And he’s just crying and he goes, ‘Yes, papa. Yes,'” he added. “But as he’s crying and I’m down on his level, I’m trying to hold back my tears. I get up and I leave out of the room and he says, ‘Are you OK?'”
The exchange took Perry back to a darker time and he explained that as a kid, he had never been treated like that and that no one had taken time to explain when and why he was wrong, “No one talked to me like that when I was a five-year-old,” he said. “No one had a conversation with me. No one talked to me like a person. So here I am having an opportunity to heal my ‘little boy self’ by talking to my son like a person.”
