Toke Makinwa Threatened With Lawsuit Over ‘Fake’ Employee

Toke Makinwa marriage

Following allegations against Muyiwa Folorunsho and Glory Osei, Toke Makinwa found herself under fire from an alleged staff.

The woman in question alleged that Toke Makinwa owed staff salary, an allegation that the OAP hit back against and even went as far as offering N500k to anyone who could uncover the identity of the lady.

Now the lawyer of the woman in question has threatened Makinwa with a legal suit if anything happens to his client.

Makinwa had tweeted this: “I could easily send my lawyers after you buy they are too busy making me money so let’s settle this on this same app. At least to begin with. There is a 500k bounty for anyone with information about who the handler of that account is. The twitter handle is @lerivay”

In response, the lawyer, Jerry Okeke said in response “Dear @tokstarr we have been retained by @Lerivay and on whose instructions we now write you to kindly put down the bounty placed on our client because her life is being threatened and if anything happens to our client you will be held responsible.”

When one of Toke’s supporters asked the lawyer for receipts over the allegations his client was making, he said that the veracity of her claims is not his concern, but rather her safety as she has been threatened by someone with significantly more power than her.

“My dear we are not here to determine the veracity of what was said social media is not a court of competent Jurisdiction, our client’s safety is of paramount importance you can agree with us that we live in dangerous times.” he said in his tweet.

It would be interesting to see the fallout from this and whether we would see more employers called out, genuinely or otherwise.
