Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo has rubbished claims from some quarters that he was denied an American visa while seeking asylum for his family.
The singer has been embroiled in a scandal involving his wife who claimed she was raped by the senior pastor of COZA, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo.
A news website, reporterswall.com, reported that Timi Dakolo was denied US visa and that he is actively trying to escape the country.
The news apparently originated from Kemi Olunloyo whom the report claimed made a statement on her Instagram page about Timi’s plans to abscond.
According to Olunloyo, she said: The Dakolo family reportedly trying to LEAVE Nigeria in the middle of a rape investigation. Tumishe Oluyede the alleged second victim has already fled to America. She never filed a police report of any rape. I exposed her identity when Chude “forgot” to disguise her voice. Remember @busoladakolo said NPF forced her to sign an invitation at gun point. Did Timi sign at gunpoint too? Busola later lied that the interview with the @guardian was NOT NEW as if Nigerians forgot that Saturday in July 2019. So many lies, the movie script has fallen apart.
Timi Dakolo laughed away these claims stating that he had no idea about any denial.
In a Twitter post, he said: “I swear i didnt know they denied me visa,Please let check my passport again whether my visas to the mentioned places have they are still valid. Maybe it is another timi Dakolo. Mad people everywhere.
It also seems the singer is trying to use his Twitter more and more as he put out a flurry of tweets over the past 48 hours.
Timi has always been pretty active on social media with Instagram being his platform of choice, but if his recent tweets are anything to go by, then Twitter might just become his favorite stumping ground.
