Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo, whose wife is in the middle of the COZA rape scandal after she accused its head pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo, of raping her.
Following a back and forth between both parties, the Christian Association waded into matter, initially stating that they avoided making statements on such matters before eventually condemning the act and disowning Pastor Fatoyinbo.
However, on Sunday, COZA were allegedly visited by representatives of CAN who then said that they stand with Pastor Fatoyinbo to the shock of everyone.
In yet another twist, CAN’s National Director of Legal and Public Affairs, Evangelist Barrister Kwamkur Samuel Vondip said that the visited by the so called representatives of CAN was unauthorized and that the parties involved were ‘on their own’
Timi Dakolo took to his Instagram to react to this report writing a short and sweet caption: THE TRUTH ALWAYS WINS…
The statement by Vondip on the matter went like this: “Those who did so did it on their own. We stand by our earlier release on this issue that while we would never support any act of immorality from whatever quarter.
“We can tell you PFN has constituted a panel investigating the matter, and in less than two weeks, the outcome of the investigation will come out.
“We urge all Christian brothers and sisters to know that this is the position of CAN.
“We would not spare anyone found wanting from facing appropriate disciplinary actions.”
The case has been a contentious one that has divided people as there have been on both sides of the divide with some supporting Busola Dakolo while others doubt her story and claim that this is an attack against the church of God.
The divisiveness isn’t great, therefore it’ll be ideal if a resolution is reached soon and someone is punished.
