The CEO Of City FM, Adedoja Allen Has Issued An Apology To Tiwa Savage And Yemi Alade Over Viral Video Condemning Female Artistes

In this era of feminism which is often misinterpreted by many, it is certainly the wrong time to be caught off guard without filter, especially as a broadcaster.

City FM Female OAPs were called out for talking down On Tiwa Savage and Yemi Alade’s music, not only by the artistes involved but several other individuals who felt It was unprofessional to do so especially because they ware expected to root and support their own kind, “Women”.

In the heat, the CEO/MD of the station found it right to apologize with full details of what the station’s investigation proved. Adedoja Allen tendered an apology to the artistes who were in their(OAPs) mention, Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage for what happened.

She confirmed that, her apology has been accepted by Tiwa Savage and Yemi Alade who is out of the country,  has been sent an apology message.

The press release reads;

My attention has been brought to a video trending on social media. The video in question was of a private discussion held off-air based on the comment of an artiste who had just been interviewed on the 4th of February 2019, 8 months ago. Unfortunately, this was picked up by our live streaming system. But was immediately taken down as it in no way portray what we stand for.

I have personally spoken with Tiwa Savage and apologised profusely and we came to an amicable resolution.

Tiwa Savage was in our studio on the 2nd of October, 2019 to promote her new single. We welcomed her openly and gave her VIP treatment.

Again, this us an unfortunate incident that occurred longtime again which I totally condemn. Women are already marginalized in society at large and as a fellow woman, I have always made it a point of duty to show support and solidarity for women throughout my role as the Managing Director of City FM 105.1. City 105.1 FM identifies and upholds women rights and holds women in the highest esteem.

This is a very deplorable act and the necessary actions have been taken to avoid situations like this from reoccurring.
