They are not only brilliant actors but also ambassadors who work so hard to ensure that our message will be positively impacting young Nigerians across the country. And this makes them all an integral part of the series.
A new partnership with the United Nations Population Fund(UNFPA) on the new series was announced at the unveiling. This was bound to happen sooner as their key initiatives are centred on adolescent sexual health, teen pregnancy and family planning among young mothers.
An Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health and HIV Specialist, Fatima Mamman-Daura spoke on the new collaboration with MTV Staying Alive Foundation. She said;
“UNFPA is proud to collaborate with MTV Shuga, the undisputed leader in behavioural change, communication for adolescents and young people. The series speaks the language of young people, providing HIV education and information on sexual and reproductive health in the most entertaining and captivating manner.”…..the mentioned reasons prompted the collaboration.
