Spoiler alert for anyone who hasn’t seen Avengers: Endgame as this article talks about Spider-Man: Far From Home which follows the events of Endgame.
Alright, everyone who hasn’t seen Endgame gone?
If you’re still reeling from Endgame, then hold on to your hats, cos Spider-Man: Far from Home has dropped a trailer and if you weren’t hyped for the web slinger’s latest adventure, then you really should be.
The trailer shows events after the end of Endgame. Peter Parker is feeling the effects of Iron Man’s demise and a school trip looks like a refreshing change of pace.
Of course things don’t go according to plan as Nick Fury tries to reach Spider-Man, an invitation which he refuses. Now if you’ve watched the MCU long enough, you know that Nick Fury is not a man you say No to. So he finds Peter in Italy and recruits him on a dangerous mission.
The trailer doesn’t give up much and if we’ve learned anything from the Avengers: Endgame trailer, it’s that Marvel are pretty good at showing a lot but showing nothing (I mean, the entire 5 or so trailers of Endgame gave away like just the first 5 to 10 minutes of the movie).
What we do know is that Spider-Man is back, he’s far from home, MJ probably knows his secret identity and the villain may or may not be Mysterio.
It also explains that the Mysterio is from an alternate earth, something that has been speculated could tie in the Fantastic 4 and the X-Men into the MCU with the introduction of the Marvel Multiverse.
The movie stars Tom Holland as Spider-Man, Zendaya as MJ and Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio. It will be out in cinemas on the 2nd of July 2019 (and God knows I can’t wait)
