Selena Gomez Admits ‘Pain’ While Doing ‘Lose You To Love Me’

Selena Gomez

Former Disney star, Selena Gomez has admitted that there was some pain behind the creation of her latest hit, ‘Lose you to love me’.

Many fans are convinced that the song is focused on her ill-fated romance with Justin Bieber which ended in a breakup with Justin now married to Hailey Baldwin.

Speaking to SiriusXM, Selena Gomez claimed that she had simply gone into the studio for a session and that within an hour, the song was done. She also admitted that this song is a lot different from many of her other singles.

She said: “I wrote ‘Lose You To Love Me’ in the beginning of the year. We were in L.A. and I was just going to go in the studio for a session, I wasn’t quite sure what was going to come of it, and within two hours, even an hour, we basically wrapped up the song. I mean a lot of pain went behind the song but it ended up being something that is beautiful. I think my new work is very different than some of the last singles and records I’ve put out, not in any way, different, it’s just, I’ve continuously grown up and so there’s different directions and I’m still figuring out sometimes kind of where I want to go, it’s always, never one way, but it’s exciting to try new things.”

According to Hollywood Life, it seems Justin Bieber is completely fine with being written about with a source telling Hollywood Life, “He pretty much knew it was coming because as an artist that’s what she’s done before, and he respects her choice to do that.”

Justin was also said to not be dwelling on it and that he has moved on and is happy with his new life with Hailey.
