There is no doubt that several royal-watchers were waiting to see what would happen when Rose Hanbury, Prince William’s alleged mistress, showed up at the state banquet hosted in honour of President Trump’s visit to the United Kingdom.
Well, eagle-eyed fans soon noticed that the former model was not wearing her wedding ring and just when it looked like those horrible, unfounded rumours about Prince William cheating with Rose Hanbury – the Marchioness of Cholmondeley – were dying down, her missing wedding ring has sparked new rumours about her affair with the Prince.
The 35-year-old former model was one of the lucky 170 people invited to Buckingham Palace for the State Dinner with President Donald Trump and Queen Elizabeth II. However, when she arrived in her beautiful white satin gown, her wedding ring was noticeably absent.
For this reason, many have speculated that her marriage with husband Marquess of Cholmondeley, David Rocksavage may be in trouble waters given that the ring isn’t exactly an item of jewellery one would forget to wear to such a high-profile event.
Hanbury and Rocksavage have been married for over ten years and share three children; Alexander, Oliver, and Lady Iris. The two live close to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s rural estate and have developed a close bond with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
As a matter of fact, the couples often have playdates together and are a part of the royal family’s inner circle in the Norfolk area. This closeness, of course, is what has fueled the rumours of an ongoing affair between Hanbury and William.
Hanbury and Middleton have always been viewed as close friends, but that all changed earlier this year when rumours surfaced of a growing feud between the neighbours. Inside sources claimed that Middleton wanted to “phase” the couple out of their inner circle – a move William reportedly resisted. Insiders say that William tried to get Middleton to play nice with Hanbury, but he was unable to broker a peace agreement.
The rumours of a feud quickly morphed into reports of an affair. Sources claimed that the real reason Middleton wanted to ditch Hanbury was that she and William were hooking up on the side. The couple has not addressed the cheating scandal, and some sources saying there is nothing to the rumours.
Rose Hanbury’s appearance at the dinner without her wedding ring, however, has not helped quell the reports. It is unclear if Hanbury’s marriage is in trouble, but not wearing her wedding ring at a royal engagement is a questionable act considering the magnitude of the event.
