Ric Hassani has since the start of his career branded himself as a ‘Classic man’ and no where did he show this more than in a recent photoshoot.
The singer collaborated with burgeoning designer Patrickslim and Just Adire to create a look book which was called OKUNRIN IGBALODE – “The Modern Man”
The idea was to portray a man who is trendy and fashion savvy while still very much connected to his roots and boy, did they knock it out of the park
According to the creators, the aim of the look book was: “The decline in the appreciation of locally made fabrics such as Adire and the myth that these fabrics are mostly worn by women in Yorubaland, influenced our group’s exploration of the underlying history behind these fabrics.”

Meanwhile, in a 2018 interview with the Punch, Hassani stated that he had a pretty hard time convincing his parents to let him do music.
He said in the interview: “It was not easy at all. I was not able to convince my parents that I wanted to be a full-time artiste. I just had to keep moving and showing them that it was something I was interested in and could succeed in. At the end of the day, parents just want their children to be successful. Now, they are my biggest supporters and they back me up with prayers.”
Ric Hassani has gone on to become a fast rising star in the music industry, lauded by many for his alternative style of music and the subtle quality to his voice.
And from this photo shoot, it’s clear he could totally be a model if he wanted to.
