Royal children have always been cute, but nothing prepared us for the heart melting moment that was Prince George and Princess Charlotte posing for a ‘first day of school’ photo.
The official Kensington Royal Instagram account posted the photo with the brother and sister holding each other in a beautiful embrace while smiling at the camera, ready for the school day.
It was captioned: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share a photograph of Prince George and Princess Charlotte at Kensington Palace this morning.
“The photo was taken shortly before Their Royal Highnesses left for Thomas’s Battersea. 📷 Kensington Palace”
Prince George is no stranger to school as he’s been going since 2017, however, Princess Charlotte just started at Thomas’ Battersea school.
Driven to school by Prince William, who claimed that Princess Charlotte is “very excited” about her first day at school, the family all went together with Kate Middleton escorting Princess Charlotte as she met with her new head teacher Ms Haslem who shook hands with both George and Charlotte.
The Kensington Royal Instagram page also shared a video of this meeting captioning it: “Princess Charlotte arrives for her first day of school at Thomas’s Battersea, joining her older brother Prince George ✏️📚🏫”
Prince George is in his second year at the school and after this year will move to middle school.
Thomas’ Battersea school has about 560 pupils and costs a pretty penny to get into with tuition costs said to be about £6,429 per term for a family’s eldest child and £6,305 for their second eldest child.
Hopefully, she has a great day at school.
