#PastorStepDown is trending. How did it all begin? Yesterday, 28th June 2019, Nigerians woke up to a rape scandal involving Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo and Busola Dakolo, Timi Dakolo’s wife. Honestly, we are not even sure we should be calling Biodun Fatoyinbo a pastor.
The story was that Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo raped Busola Dakolo twice at about the time she was 17. Twice!
Let’s go back almost a year ago, a young lady Ese Walter had also made almost the same allegations against the pastor. One begins to wonder, “Are you the only fine boy pastor?”
Several accounts have come up. Too many stories.
Is he the only fine pastor in Nigeria?
“women throw themselves at him” that is your defence?
Paul Adefarasin no be fine pastor. Chris Oyakhilome is ugly abi?
Let us start from somewhere. #PastorStepDown Please. One by one.

But even all that is not the crocs of this gist.
Today, in the wake of many other allegations, (I have personally counted up to 30 on twitter), a new hashtag has arisen. It is #PastorStepDown
I think it was started by Akah Nnani who gave a robust speech yesterday and another robust thread on twitter today, in which he stated all the reason why the pastor should step down.
Other celebrities are in support like Adesua Etomi, Genevieve Nnaji, Vimbai,
Till this issue is handled, till the law takes it’s full course….there should be no sermon on that pulpit from him. No one is pointing fingers but what is right is right. #PastorStepDown

Yes he is innocent until proven guilty, but it doesn’t change the fact all the women speaking of their ordeals are speaking their truth. He is also a custodian of morality, and a leader so we ACTUALLY hold him to higher standards. #PastorStepDown

Well, he has said it himself. “In the mouth of two or three witnesses the truth is established” – Biodun Fatoyinbo.
(Yes. with my chest, I am not adding Pastor again. Come and beat me.)

Biodun Fatoyinbo, #PastorStepDown and stop dragging the name of the church in the mud. And please we will like to see this case progress. We are totally here for all the tea and juice there is to scrape from it.
To Busola Dakolo, you are a strong woman, and we totally support and stand by you. #IStandWithBusolaDakolo #PastorStepDown
