Maybe it’s nothing, but Tiwa Savage just released her cover for Kizz Daniel’s new song ‘Fvck You’ and it does sound like she was firing a few shots at her ex, Teebillz.
Her name does have the word ‘Savage’ in it.
The singer filed for divorce last year and the two have had a contentious relationship ever since they traded accusations in 2016 which led Teebillz to attempt suicide before he was rescued by friends. Tiwa also came out then to tell the world that Teebillz had been unfaithful and unsupportive of her and her dreams.
The Kizz Daniel song, which is one that talks about a promiscuous lover, has been turned into a challenge with fans and celebrities alike sending in covers to the song which Daniel has reposted on his Instagram page.
Savage has so far been the biggest name to send in a cover and while the lyrics in her song have no name attached to them, they do sound suspicious.
She said in the song: “Bobo you no get shame, when we dey waka to studio to studio, you dey look for fame, two can play the game, first time you go international, mo fo wo mi ran e lo Canada [I paid for your Canada trip], Mr Living Da loca, 50 Bottles you still dey owe escape, carry Sisi Yellow, you dey form posh, say my melanin no dey pop”

Maybe she was referring to some imaginary person, or maybe it was someone else in her life, though anyone would admit that the lyrics do seem oddly personal.
The reactions have been loud, with Nigerians impressed by the song and intrigued by the potential malice underneath it.
