A lot of things happened in Game of Thrones Episode 2– the Arya Sex scene, the scene where Arya went nude and also the scene where Arya decided to try out that sex thing that everyone keeps talking about.
There was Brienne getting Knighted, Jon revealing his true identity to Daenerys and Jaime settling into his new environment.
But one that was super duper important was when Bran revealed that the Night King was coming for him.
It wasn’t a long drawn reveal, the characters at Winterfell were at a strategy meeting and the topic of discussion was how to win the war. Jon suggested that if they defeated the Night King, then the rest of the army might fall and when they wondered how they’d get the Night King, Bran (should we just call him the three-eyed raven now?) disclosed that the Night King would be coming for him, therefore, he was excellent bait.
Why is the Night King after Bran though?
He also explained this stating that the leader of the White Walkers has tried to lay his hands on many Three-eyed ravens in the past and that his goal is to achieve “an endless night,
“He wants to erase this world and I am its memory,” Bran said in the scene.
Bran’s abilities enables him to see events of the past, present and future and ending Bran also sort of means wiping off humanity’s history in the process.
And as Samwell Tarly explained “That’s what death is, isn’t it? Forgetting. Being forgotten. If we forget where we’ve been and what we’ve done, we’re not men anymore, just animals.”
There’s really no way to know how they can tackle the Night king, but with the Iron born by his side, Bran, Jon and co will certainly try their best.
Here’s hoping Dragon Fire works
