Nollywood Alive Trending Top Ten Movies/Web Series For The Week – October 21st

The very fast rate of movie and film production, in Nollywood and Africa in general has given viewers a wide pool of choices across different sources. We like to make things and that is why every week we draw up a list of movies, web series, TV series and more for you. We have a new line up of movies this week and we are bringing some good oldies back just incase you haven’t seen them.

Lets get started.

1. CRUX

Showing on Ibakatv is this Nollywood series Crux and it’s got a great storyline to it.

It tells the story of a man who got caught up between two ladies and their place in his heart. One is his Ex-wife who is trying to make a come back and the other is his fiance who wants her man for keeps.

Until he’s able to come up with a decision, the fight to keep him never ends.

It starts Chelsea Eze, Daniel Lloyd, Tamara Eteimo and Anita Johnson.

2. TRUE BETRAYAL

This is a story of betrayal. It is about a lady who loves everyone around her and sees them as family. Unknown to her that they didn’t see her the same way. How will she know her true friends and real enemies?

Find out when you see this movie. The movie stars Doris Simeon, Bolanle Ninalowo, Deyemi Okanlawon, Eniola Badmus and many more.

The story teaches a great lesson and is a must watch.

3. TAUNTING FAITH

The movie tells the story of a pastor and his wife whose desperate need for a child, led them into sin. A church member who was privy to their secret started to taunt the couple. She wants to use their secret to the advantage of her husband to launder money through the church. Will the couple come clean to the congregation or will they continue to cover up the lie?

4. STAB

This is a must-watch for anyone who loves drama.

It is a story that shows how irresponsible a mother was after she flew back home to be with her daughter only to sleep with her daughter’s husband because the daughter is very busy. Did anyone say abomination? What ensued almost ruined their family. Find out more when you see STAB. This movie stars Wole Ojo and Ruth Kadiri amongst others.

 

5. DON’T GET MAD, GET EVEN

It is a Nollywood cinema comedy movie produced by Wale Ojo starring Nancy Isime, Toyin Abraham, Patience Ozokwor and many more.

Yet to see the movie? Wait no further because this is the confirmation you have been waiting for.

It is about two brothers who were in the quest of making it in life but were both handled a different path to follow. Will the younger brother who dropped out of school make it more than the one that followed through?

6. ELEVATOR BABY

Elevator baby is a Nollywood movie that will surely impress you. The lead actress Toyin Abraham was 6 months pregnant when she acted in this movie and the pregnancy was real.

Produced by Akay Mason who was unaware of Toyin’s pregnancy when he contacted her for the role which turned out to be a blessing.

Starring Broda Shaggi, Samuel Olatunji, Shaffy Bello, Toyin Abraham, Timini Egbuson, Elevator Baby is funny, witty, full of drama and has received great reviews already.

The movie is showing in cinemas nationwide.

7. LOVE IS WAR

When love and war mix, how conducive will the home be?

A couple who are both politicians are vying for the same political position in this drama. Will this make or break their union?

Directed by Omoni Oboli who also stars in the movie along with William Blessing, Femi Branch, RMD, and many others, Love Is War will have you picking sides before you know it.

8. EVERYTHING BUT A MAN

This Hollywood movie is directed by Nnegest Likke and stars Camile Winbush, Jimmy Jean-Louis and Monica Calhoun.

“A 30-year-old single career woman got romantically with an immigrant whom she tries to groom into a perfect man but encountered both comedic and dramatic conflict.”

9. MALEFICENT: MISTRESS OF EVIL

If you love Angelina Jolie and is a fan of the first Maleficent movie, then you’d love this sequel.

Maleficent and her goddaughter questions the complex family ties that bind them as they are pulled in different directions by impending nuptials, unexpected allies and dark new forces at play.

Starring Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning and Imelda Staunton.

10. GEMINI MAN

This is a Hollywood action drama directed by Ang Lee and Clive Owen, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and of course Will Smith who plays the two lead characters.

It is a story of “a retiring assassin who found himself being pursued by his clone and in order to kill his clone he has to first kill the creator of the clone.”

This movie will have you on the edge of your seat all through.
