Nollywood Alive Top Ten Naija Songs For The Week – September 2nd

This week has beautiful and amazing new song releases from various artistes and some old songs that are still trending. Seeing how rising artistes have their songs trending, shows how much work that was put into it.

1. MONALISA (REMIX)- LYTA X DAVIDO

The first half of this song was done by Lyta while still with YBNL records but his stay at YBNL came to an abrupt end. Luckily for him, Davido vibed to the song and jumped on the remix with him.

Since the release of the song, it’s been a non-stop banger on the radio and the artiste is getting the much needed and awaited recognition.

Davido also surprised the rising artiste by sponsoring the video to the song.

2. PAWON – OLAMIDE

Do you know that with each song release by Olamide Baddo, there is an introduction of a new dance step?

It is a continuous process for Baddo and his artistes aren’t doing badly too.

The delivery to the song as always was done in the Yoruba language but that did not put a stop to how you vibe to it.

3. ON GOD – DMW X DAVIDO X MAYORKUN X DREMO

The crew came through on this song after a while of not making music together.

This song is a build-up to their collaborative work and the combination from Davido the African Music Sensation to Mayorkun the Afro-pop singer down to Dremo the rap machine, the song had to get an easy recognition the moment it dropped.

4. BLOW MY MIND – DAVIDO X CHRIS BROWN

Talking about the man of the moment is the young and talented artiste gaining so much recognition around the world due to his consistency and dope song releases.

The song, Blow My Mind had set him on another level and the trend increases with each passing day. It is safe to say Davido had written his name in the history of African singers who have helped put Nigeria on the world map.

5. BABY – JOEBOY

This is one of the most-streamed songs so far even with the release of another song, titled Beginning, Baby” by Joeboy stays  trending.

It is a love confession song and with the addition of an amazing beat, the Banku Music artiste is enjoying his found fame from the above-mentioned song.

6. AGEGE – TEKNO X ZLATAN IBILE

Tekno’s comeback using this song is definitely 100% judging by its success. Due to its controversy, the song has gained more views but regardless of this, the work done on this song cannot be overemphasized.

Zlatan the hottest collaborator in Nigeria currently, came through with the Zanku sauce while Tekno followed suit.

7. KING – FIREBOY DML

The year looks so good for the YBNL family because it’s artistes and it’s imprinted boss, Olamide is all on their feet making it work for them and each effort has paid off.

The song King by Fireboy DML is a follow-up song to his earlier released song, “If I Say” which is also a Love song after “Jealous” and both songs have been trending non-stop.

8. KILLING DEM – BURNA BOY X ZLATAN

This song made it to the list of our trending songs this week.

The self-acclaimed African giant, Burna Boy released this song with Zlatan as a teaser before the release of his album which made the anticipation at the time much more interesting.

9. GELATO – DJ CUPPY X ZLATAN IBILE

Within the shortest possible time, Zlatan has collaborated with the industry’s finest and with each song, comes the best side to him.

Owned by Dj Cuppy, it is a build-up to her forthcoming EP which is set to drop anytime soon.

10. DOYIN – MR EAZI X SIMI

The combination of these two talented artistes is something to always watch out for.

They have a certain synergy that makes their collaboration outstanding with the sonorous voice from Simi and Ghana infusion from Mr Eazi, you can never go wrong with listening to their songs.
