Nollywood Alive Actor Of The Week — Kate Henshaw

Kate Henshaw is a Nollywood Veteran actor who looks way younger than her age due to her great fitness routine. She is also producer, a fitness enthusiast and a multi-award winner.

She was born on July 19th, 1971. She is the oldest of her four siblings. Her primary and secondary school education was in Calabar and Lagos State respectively and later proceeded to the University of Calabar where she spent a year, studying ‘Remedial studies.’ she later got admission into the Medical Lab Science at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) to study Medical Microbiology.

Her journey to the Nigerian Entertainment industry started far back as 2003 when she auditioned for the lead role in a movie titled “When The Sun Sets”. She was fortunate enough to have been given the role she played in the movie. That was the beginning of her rise to stardom and has been counted amongst the best actors in the industry.

She is talented with a great personality which has earned her endorsement such as the ‘Face of Onga’ and judge duties on ‘Nigeria Got Talent.’

The 48-year-old actor won the 2008 African Movie Academy Award for the Best Actress In A Leading Role.

The award-winning actor was married for 12 years until 2011 when she got divorced from her now estranged husband, Roderick James Nutall the managing director of Ledrop Nigeria LTD, due to irreconcilable differences. They are blessed with a daughter.
