Nollywood Alive Actor Of The Week – Blossom Chukwujekwu

Born on the 4th of November, 1983…Blossom Chukwujekwu is a Nollywood actor with amazing talent who has starred in a lot of movies and just recently, he was in the media over his failed marriage.

Let’s get to know him better…

Blossom Chikwujekwu was born in Edo State in the 80s but, originally from Nnewi North in Anambra state. Both his primary and secondary school education was from Greater Tomorrow Primary and Greater Tomorrow Comprehensive College respectively in Benin City, Edo State.

He furthered his education at the Enugu State University to study Mass Communication but, he spent just a year in the school and later continued his studies at the Benson Idahosa University (BIU) in Benin City…where he finally earned his degree.

While in school, Blossom was an active member of the “House Of Theatre” and got introduced to people with the same passion for acting like him and his activeness in the group earned him his first major role in a movie titled “Godless”.

In 2009, he had several opportunities to pursue his passion which is, to become a full-time actor, he took it and started auditioning for a lot of movie roles which he eventually got. That was the beginning of his journey to stardom.

He has starred in movies such as Flower Girl, Private Storm, Finding Mercy, Knocking On Heaven’s Door, The Visit, Ghana Must Go.

For TV series, he has played different characters in series such as Tinsel, Shuga, My Mum & I, About To Wed and Married, Taste of Love and lots more.

The 36-year-old actor has bagged several awards and nominations for his acting skills, some of which are;

  • Nominated for Best New Actor at 2013 Golden Icons Academy Movie Awards
  • Nominated at 2013 Best Actor In A Lead Role At The Best Of Nollywood Awards.
  • Winner in 2015 Viewers Choice Awards as the Best Supporting Actor.

Recently, Blossom Chukwujekwu has had the spotlight shine on him over issues arising from his marriage which he got separated from but has yet to speak on.

He got married to his now-estranged wife, Maureen Esisi traditionally in 2015 and both parties are yet to have any child(ren).
