A self-acclaimed Nollywood actor and social media critic has few words for Nigerian singer, Davido over his recent video!
Yesterday, the singer Davido posted a video on his insta stories complaining of not getting enough love from the industry. He also talked about how much he supports others, and how proud he is of other people’s success but never get the same love back, because he is from a wealthy home. He said that that, it is not his fault his father is wealthy and he can’t change that but just wondering why he does not get the kind of love he gives out?
However, people have been able to make a video about Wizkid. They linked it to the feature Wizkid got on the album with Beyonce alongside other Nigerian artistes. Among those criticising, the singer is the controversial Nollywood actor, Uche Maduagwu.
In his Instagram post, he wrote on the issue while telling Davido to get a grip of himself! In his word;
“Nobody hates on you because of your father’s MONEY, Nigerians just love @wizkidayo songs better than yours… Oga, don’t get it twisted, you are not the only child of a billionaire father in this industry. So, it is laughable for you to assume people hate you because of your father’s money, Nigerians are not enemies of progress, if you start being humble and stop behaving like this Naija music industry is your birthright, maybe, Nigerians, including your colleague, will start showing you much love to cover for the deficit in your music compared to that of #wizkid who got featured on Beyonce #LionKing album. Hello, I have gotten @chrissyteigen attention in #America, Oga, have you asked Nigerians why they crowned Wizkid the KING of #Nigeria and #Africa music instead of you?”
No response from Davido so far on this particular comment, rather busy celebrating his recent achievement on reaching 2 million hits on YouTube in 24hours on his new song with American singer, Chris Brown, titled “Blow Your Mind.”
Do you think Davido is not getting the love from his fellow industry mate?? If truly he isn’t, who are those buying his ticket for his shows he marked #SoldOut?
