Following a series of tweets from the African Bad Gyal, Tiwa Savage, she made it quite clear her stand on the xenophobic attacks currently on-going.
The singer took to her Twitter to announce the cancellation on the DSTV Show she was booked to perform at on the 21st of September in South Africa.
“I refuse to watch the barbaric butchering of my people in SA. This is sick. For this reason, I will not be performing at the upcoming DSTV Delicious festival in Johannesburg on the 21st of September. My prayers are with all the victims and families affected by this.”
In another tweet, she made it known that any African killed be it Nigerian or not is still African and we are all one. She has been applauded for her show of solidarity amidst trolls!
In other news; while South African Rapper AKA is been attacked by his fellow industry mates in Nigeria for his comment on the Xenophobic issue, another South African rap artiste, Nasty C has taken a stand against these attacks and condemned these actions by South Africans.
He made a post on his Instagram page to condemn these acts.
With the caption;
“Help me pray for my brothers and sisters, there’s more than enough ways to resolve our problems as a country.”
