Since the departure of Tiwa Savage from Mavin Records as the label’s first lady, Di’ja – Tiwa’s deputy – has stepped into the shoes left behind by Tiwa Savage and it is not surprising to find Di’ja doing greatly as Mavin’s first lady.
Earlier in the year, Di’Ja released a four-track EP titled Di’ja, along with a stunning video for the first single off the tape, “Wuta” and we totally loved every bit of it. Now, the amazing Nigerian songbird has returned with a video for another of the EP’s standouts, “Te Amo”, hence bringing our attention back to the body of work.
Produced by E Kelly and directed by Unlimited LA, the video depicts a lady (Kokobykhloe) mourning the loss of a relationship that could have survived while wishing the pair could go back to the way they were.
The song is a slow tempo love song that completes the cycle of the EP and I have to confess that this is really impressive from Di’ja; hopefully, she continues to dish out fiyah tracks like Te Amo.
