When Meghan Markle stepped out to attend Trooping the Colour, not many noticed the subtle change in her finger as there had been an upgrade.
Not an upgrade to the size of her fingers, but rather, the engagement ring which as it turns out, has been upgraded.
Thanks to the eagled eyed observers over at Town and Country mag, it was noticed that Meghan Markle’s 3 stone engagement ring has undergone some change.
Now features a thin micro-pavé band, as opposed to the original solid yellow gold one.
Perhaps the change in the ring was hard to notice because people were focused on the new eternity band that Meghan had on. The diamond band is being speculated to be a present from her husband, the Duke of Sussex to honor the birth of their new child or in commemoration of their first wedding anniversary.
Unfortunately, it is rather difficult to track the exact point at which the change was made as Meghan opted not to wear her engagement ring during the final months of her pregnancy, most likely because of the swelling of her fingers.
It does seem that she was already rocking the new ring at the time of baby Archie’s first photo call
So, currently, Meghan has three sets of rings: her engagement ring, her simple Welsh gold wedding band, and her new eternity ring.
Prince Harry was heavily involved in the creation of her engagement ring, working in conjunction with the jeweler Cleave & Company to help make the ring. He also revealed in their first joint interview after announcing their engagement, “The ring is obviously yellow gold because that’s [Markle’s] favorite and the main stone itself I sourced from Botswana and the little diamonds either side are from my mother’s jewelry collection, to make sure that she’s with us on this crazy journey together,”
