The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle has admitted that she struggles with the intense media scrutiny that she has found herself under.
This was revealed in a new ITV documentary in which the Royals were followed around by Tom Bradby while they did their 10-day-tour of Africa.
When they talked about the Pregnancy and motherhood, Meghan Markle who was clearly emotional said that things had been a bit difficult.
“Not many people have asked if I’m OK. But it’s a very real thing to be going through behind the scenes.” she said.
When asked about how she was coping, the former ‘Suits’ star said: “Look, any woman – especially when they are pregnant – you’re really vulnerable and so that was made really challenging, and then when you have a new born – you know?
“And especially as a woman, it’s a lot…”
Markle then added: “And also, thank you for asking, because not many people have asked if I’m OK…”
Recall that Prince Harry had called out some media outlets over their portrayal of the Duchess and he admitted that he was worried that the media will hound her just as they did his mother.
While on the African tour, Harry visited an anti-landmine project which his mother Diana had been a huge supporter of.
Speaking to ITV, he described how retracing her steps had turned out to be a rather emotional journey, “I think being part of this family, in this role, in this job, every single time I see a camera, every single time I hear a click, every single time I see a flash, it takes me straight back, so in that respect it’s the worst reminder of her life, as opposed to the best.”
