Iconic South African duo, Mafikizolo have released a new single, ‘Ngeke Balunge’ a soulful song sure to make you feel some type of way.
The duo had earlier released ‘Love Potion’ which has been a well received song.
‘Ngeke Balunge’ is about the futility of trying to come between the love that exists between the two individuals.
The song was written and produced by Mondli Ngcobo and it features the band going back to the sound they were popular for back in the 2000s.
Mafikizolo is a really popular duo within the continent. Recall that a few months ago, one of the duo, Nhlanhla Nciza, announced her split from her husband of 15 years. In a short statement, she had announced the split saying: “After almost 15 years of our strong bond of marriage, my husband TK Nciza and I have come to a tough but amicable decision to bring an end to our union. I am thankful for the support we have given each other over the years while raising our children.
“We shall remain on good terms and continue our endeavor to be great and exemplary parents to our children. We appreciate the support we’ve received from family and friends. At this stage we would like to appeal for privacy, particularly for the sake of our children. We thank you”
They are a pretty popular duo in Nigeria with their collaboration in 2015 with Davido really taking their popularity to the next level. They acknowledged this in an interview where they talked a bit about how they had come to have so many Nigerian fans, “Our collaboration with Davido opened up the Western market for us to Nigeria and the whole continent. We will continue to collaborate with different artistes from different places. Collaborations introduces us to their market and them to ours. If we work together, then we can be able to fuse different audiences to meet the yearnings of our fans.” they said.
