Kim Kardashian has proven time and time again, just how effective a large platform can be as she has somehow permeated every industry in America.

The reality star and entrepreneur returned to the White House, this time to promote efforts to help those leaving prison return to work.

Kim Kardashian has been one of the leading voices calling for criminal justice reform and was heavily involved in the release of Alice Johnson, a woman who was incarcerated on non-violent drug-related offences.

Speaking to the East Room in the White House, Kim Kardashian talked about a ride-share partnership where ex-prisoners are given gift cards so that they can travel to and from interviews.

She said: “Everyone wants the community to be safe, and the more opportunity we have and that they have and the support that we help give them, the safer everyone will be,”

She also spoke about it on Social Media where she announced that she would be going to the White House and also praised Lyft (the ride share company in question) for their commitment to doing more than the usual fare for big corporations.

“Proud to partner on this initiative with , a company with a history of taking bold action to do what’s right for our community. Thank you for providing ride share credits to formally incarcerated people when they come home.” she said.

Yesterday also happened to be her daughter, North’s, 6th birthday and she took to her social media to also celebrate the little girl, posting photos of the two of them with the caption: “Happy Birthday my sweet girl! The last 6 years have been the best of my life raising you and seeing you grow up. Mommy loves you forever and beyond!”

Kim Kardashian has been willing to use her platform to do some good in the world with all the horrible things going on and we can’t but applaud her for it.

You go KIM!
