Jeremy Renner Accused Of Threatening To Kill Ex-Wife

Jeremy Renner and Sonni Pacheco

Jeremy Renner, who plays Hawkeye in the Avengers Franchise is currently locked in a nasty legal battle with his ex-wife, Sonni Pacheco.

The legal battle is over custody of the couple’s 6-year-old daughter Ava.

Pacheco has accused Renner of threatening to kill her in new court documents. According to TMZ, Pacheco alleges that Renner was drinking and doing cocaine at a club and talked about killing her because he couldn’t deal with her anymore.

Pacheco is seeking sole custody of their daughter.

The documents filed against Jeremy Renner paint him as an irresponsible parent, one who will leave dangerous substances within the reach of Ava and act in ways that could put the little girl in danger.

The court will hear both sides on the 7th of November, but this hasn’t stopped Renner from hitting back with documents of his own.

In these documents, Jeremy Renner avers that Pacheco has mental health issues and that he does not abuse drugs or alcohol and is willing to submit to a test to prove it. He’s also praying the court to reduce the amount of time spent by Ava with the mother so as to keep her as safe as possible.

According to the Metro, reps for Jeremy Renner spoke to them and reacted to some of the claims Pacheco makes,

‘The well-being of his daughter Ava has always been and continues to be the primary focus for Jeremy.

‘This is a matter for the court to decide. It’s important to note the dramatizations made in Sonni’s declaration are a one-sided account made with a specific goal in mind.’

The couple welcomes Ava in 2013 and got married in a secret ceremony a year later, however the marriage lasted less than a year and the two have been sharing custody of Ava ever since.
