Many grieved the death of Loki in the first infinity war movie, but it is very possible that the trickster could be coming back to the MCU
Avengers Endgame was like a movie we had never seen before and while there were some mysteries surrounding it, most of them have been answered.
There were only a couple of mysteries left in the MCU and one of the biggest ones was if Loki would return.
Loki’s actor, Tom Hiddlestone has appeared on the late show with Stephen Colbert promoting the upcoming Disney series on the god of mischief and there he had said: “In the years since Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, which came out this spring, two questions have been asked: Is Loki really dead, and what is Loki doing with that cube? And this series will answer both of those questions.”
And now, Kevin Feige, while addressing the company’s plans for Phase 4, admitted that the Loki series will be tied to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness movie.
“I’m not sure we’ve actually acknowledged that before,” Feige said, “But it does” he concluded, talking about if the Loki series will be linked with the upcoming movie.
What this means that the Loki we got to meet in Endgame, the one that isn’t noble and still has villainous tendencies, is the one that will live on in the MCU.
A similar thing happened with Gamora who died in Infinity War, but thanks to time travel, we have another one who came in Endgame and is now with the Guardians of the Galaxy.
