Nollywood actress Funke Adesiyan has been given a political position with the First Lady, Mrs Aisha Buhari.
This was announced on the official website of the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture.
She will act as the Personal Assistant on Domestic and Social Events in the office of the First Lady.
She was also joined by 5 others including Dr. Mairo Almakura who is now the Special Assistant on African First Ladies Peace Mission (AFLPM), Muhammed Albishir – Special Assistant on Organization of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD), Mr. Wole Aboderin as Special Assistant on Non-Governmental Organizations, Barr. Aiyu Abdullahi – Special Assistant on Media and Publicity and Zainab Kazeem who will act as the Special Assistant on Domestic and Social Events.
Funke Adesiyan might be remembered more recently for her spat with Tonto Dikeh after she posted something on Social Media that seemed to be shading the controversial actress. Tonto Dikeh came out swinging and in a post threatened to beat her up. “Funke please say this to me when you see me. Keep this same energy too!!! I will break your mouth I promise. Don’t sub me if you ain’t bold enough to tag me!!!” Tonto said.
Funke Adesiyan is no pushover however, and she responded in kind, writing in part: “@tontolet I want to believe you don’t mean it when you said you’d break my face. I weigh 110kg of solid body muscle darling. I have a black belt in Taekwondo(ask around). However, I don’t fight unnecessary people. I pick my fights and ignore little people thus you not hearing my name here and there. I’ll tell you what I think of you, you are a depressed woman who hangs unto every straw of attention to remain relevant.”
We never did get to see the fight. Congratulations to Funke!
