Fraudsters Are Using My Father’s Name To Open Fake Foundations – Ras Kimono’s First Daughter, Oge

Ever since her dad passed on the 10th of June, 2018 – Oge Kimono has constantly been in the news, albeit for good. However, the first daughter of the Rub-A-Dub Master has recently reacted to a news making the rounds that she is set to launch a development foundation in her father’s name.

Disclaiming the news, Oge who is also a reggae musician took to her Instagram page to post a press statement that the purported lunch of the so called foundation does not have her endorsement and further that fraudsters are using her father’s name to extort money from their unsuspecting victims, hence describing the advertised Ras Kimono Development Foundation as fake.

She said;

I know that many people love my late father and are willing to celebrate him in different ways. We are most grateful for their show of love and affection.

A foundation in the name of my father is a serious project that needs proper consultation with all my siblings and key people connected with the Kimono legacy.

It should never be a project for a quick buck. For the avoidance of doubt, I will not be in Asaba for the purported lunch of the so-called foundation which does not have my endorsement.

The advertised Ras Kimono Development Foundation is slated to launch in Asaba, Delta State today – Saturday, June 15, 2019.
