Finally, Big Brother returns This June

Big Brother Nigeria

Lock your doors! Resubscribe to your DStv! Because Nigeria’s most addictive show, Big Brother Nigeria is back!

The controversial TV show which has garnered millions on millions returns with a new season which will make it the 4th edition of the series.

This one is themed, ‘Forget Wahala’ which is different from the second which was ‘See Gobe’ and the last one which was called ‘Double Wahala’

The stars from Big Brother have become increasingly successful as we’ve seen alumni from the show like Cee-C, Tobi and Nina all from last year’s show go on to do some really amazing things and the show has acted like a springboard to many a career.

The show will be hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu again (maybe that’s why he joined the beard gang)

Big Brother Nigeria has always sought to bring something different with each new season and this new one is no different as a statement by Tunde Aribido, Dstv’s PR Manager, outlined some of the new things in this season.

“For one, the audition centres increased. The BBNaija 2019 auditions were held in eight locations across Nigeria, which is more than the six from 2018 and five more from 2017. It further expanded to include Calabar and Benin from the previous Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Warri, Enugu, and Ibadan,” he said

He also added that the show is returning to Nigeria after spending the last two seasons in South Africa, a situation which brought along with it some controversy as fans expressed disappointment that a show which is wholly Nigeria is being shot in South Africa.

“The reality TV show hosting is returning to Nigeria after 13 years since it was last filmed in Nigeria,” Aribo said.

We might have enjoyed the reunion show, but at the end of the day, nothing quite scratches that itch like the actual show itself.

We can’t wait.
