Nollywood has lost one of its stars in Oliver Duke, popularly known as Silvanus from the sitcom ‘Do Good’ after the actor died in a car crash.
The actor also known as McLinchung, was said to be returning from his mother’s burial when he had an accident which led to his death.
Basorge Tariah Jr., a fellow colleague also on the show, announced the sad news on his Instagram page, paying tribute to Silvanus in the process.
His post read “My heart is so so Heavy right now. I am in a dark and painful place. Tragedy is a euphemism.
“We just lost SILVANUS of DO GOOD. My dear brother was returning from the burial of his mother when death added my friend to his mean account. RIP. These tears won’t stop flowing’.
‘I am so speechless and so sad. You were such a lovely soul. You smile, you play and never complained. You leave a vacuum that most of the world cannot fill. I will miss so much, it burns my heart. Sleep! Sleep great and awesome Talent.”
Oliver Duke, was an OAP on Star FM before going into acting and getting a role on the comedy show Do Good. There he played a business man who was in love with money and also Adaku who is played by Uzor Osimkpa.
Another of his co-stars, Kate Henshaw has also taken to her Instagram to react to his death, stating: “Goodbye “Sylvanus” May the Lord receive your soul…? Your role in “DOGOOD” brought smiles to many. You were a lively person, full of humour despite the obstacles life threw your way. RIP bro… Please help me say a prayer for his soul. God bless you all my dears.”
Do Good started airing on African Magic in 2016 and has garnered a pretty decent following since it started.
