Nollywood actress Clarion Chukwurah has answered the clarion call (pun totally intended) and has turned her life over to Jesus Christ.
The actress who in her early career was known to play risque characters and in her latter years, played shady characters like wicked mothers or snobbish matriarchs, has now stated that she is leaving all that behind to follow Jesus Christ.
She took to her Instagram account to make this revelation, posting an uncharacteristically make-upless photo complete with head gear and wide smile and in the caption she declared that she has now given up the life of glitz and glamour to live a life of fulfillment.
She captioned her post thus: “My Testimony; As an Actress, I played the role of the Bitch and life was all about Glamour and Glitz, and though I was the Humanitarian, I didn’t realise that with CHRIST there are no half measures. But, Today, HE has saved me – John 3 : 16 and like the Apostle Paul – Romans 1 : 16 and I will Glorify His Name because HE has empowered me for others to be saved – Acts 1 : 8. Jesus Christ is the ULTIMATE…do you know HIM? Are you saved? Do you have a one on one relationship with Jesus Christ today like i do? If so, what is your Testimony?”
Clarion Chukwurah isn’t the first actress to turn towards religion and faith, most notably, Patience Ozokwor suddenly turned up on posters for church programs and there were viral videos showing her preaching the gospel in churches.
She even gave an interview in which she disclosed that she almost had a falling out with her daughter over her choice to take the path of Christianity.
“This is my one year in the service of God. God called me to work for him and I obeyed immediately. When I answered the call, my daughter queried me. She asked why I decided to go into evangelism and I explained to her. She misunderstood me and we had issues.
“I kept working for God. I have won many souls since last year and I am happy for it,” she was quoted to have said.
We’re glad that Clarion Chukwurah has found an even higher purpose in her life, we wish her all the best.
