Rated as one of the finest African artists in the continent right now, Nigerian singer and songwriter Burna Boy is never too far from the entertainment headlines. Recently, the Nigerian singer visited Zambia where he treated his fans to a mind-blowing concert – a concert many of them testified to the electrifying experience they all enjoyed.
However, one particular issue threatened to checkmate the success of the show. In a video post on Twitter, Burna Boy was seen throwing his leg at a fan during the concert – an act that fuelled the wrath of many Zambians. In fact, one particular fan took to Twitter to call out the singer for brashly kicking the fan who was reaching out to him at the concert. In an angry tweet, he called upon the musician to apologise for the wrong act.
Regardless of what was going on here, nothing justifies Burna boy’s irrational kicking of a fan. He could have handled it better. #Zambia must #muteBurna until he apologies #iStandwithZaambia #naija pic.twitter.com/rAr5bXlUuW

Upon seeing the tweet, Burna Boy took to his Twitter page to apologise and stated the reason for his action. According to him, the said fan had tried to rob him on stage and after making what Burna Boy claimed was the 10th attempt, he had to deal with the situation.
I am sorry about how it looks but this person continuous tried to rob me on stage. It was like the 10th attempt to do it after telling him several times to stop . This wasn’t a fan. Apologies for how it looks but it’s not the case at all. I appreciate all my fans ❤️

This is not the first time the singer has come under scrutiny during a tour in a foreign country. Back in 2017, Burna was at loggerheads with Kenyans after he referred to them as “peasants” because they lashed out at him for rendering just a one-hour performance after he showed up late to the show.
