Brothers involved in Jussie Smollet’s attack sue Actor’s Lawyer For Defamation

Jussie Smollett is back in the news again but this time it isn’t him specifically that’s in trouble, but rather his lawyers.

The two Nigerian brothers who allegedly staged the faux attack on him, Abel and Ola Osundairo, have filed a lawsuit against Smollett’s lawyers for defamation.

According to a statement read by the brothers’ lawyer, they said: “We have sat back and watched lie after lie being fabricated about us in the media only so one big lie can continue to have life.

“These lies are destroying our character and reputation in our personal and professional lives.”

The brothers have worked as extras on Empire and are also fitness trainers.

Jussie Smollett’s lawyers have laughed off the lawsuit calling it a joke.

According to them: “At first we thought this comical legal document was a parody.

“Instead this so-called lawsuit by the brothers is more of their lawyer-driven nonsense, and a desperate attempt for them to stay relevant and further profit from an attack they admit they perpetrated.

“While we know this ridiculous lawsuit will soon be dismissed because it lacks any legal footing, we look forward to exposing the fraud the Osundairo brothers and their attorneys have committed on the public.”

Jussie Smollett has repeatedly said that he had no part in the planning of the attack, basically calling the brothers liars and homophobes.

Speaking in an interview, the Osundairo brothers’ attorney, Gloria Schmidt, said that the siblings were well aware that they were wrong in what they did, but that they were in no way responsible for the fraud that Jussie Smollett committed on the populace.

“They’ve realized that it was wrong. They’ve apologized for it. But make no mistake: They had no role in calling the police and they had no role in defrauding the police department.”

While Jussie Smollett is a free man in terms of jail time, the city of Chicago did sue him for the time spent by the police investigating a case which they have deemed a hoax.
