Big Brother Nigeria returns to screens all over the country on the 30th of June after almost a year.
This year’s edition has been themed ‘Forger Wahala’ which might be a tip of the hat to last season’s own which was themed ‘Double Wahala’ and true to its name, last season had all the drama that Big Brother is famed for.
Every edition of Big Brother always has a theme and we see that the house rules try to follow through with these themes, so it’ll be interesting to see what Forget Wahala brings.
The promotional images have featured a lot of read and images of pepper which indicates that the season is going to be as spicy as they can manage it.
As for how this season will be different, Tunde Aribido, Dstv’s PR Manager had this to say: “For one, the audition centres increased. The BBNaija 2019 auditions were held in eight locations across Nigeria, which is more than the six from 2018 and five more from 2017. It further expanded to include Calabar and Benin from the previous Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Warri, Enugu, and Ibadan,” he said
He also added that Big Brother Nigeria will be held in the country this year rather than in South Africa like previous editions.
“The reality TV show hosting is returning to Nigeria after 13 years since it was last filmed in Nigeria,” Aribo said.
With each passing season, Big Brother has tried to push the boundaries of television and censorship and this has made it into one of Nigeria’s most popular shows and after the success of last season, you can be sure that this season is going to be full of all the drama that anyone could ever ask for.
The super successful show is coming back, we absolutely cannot wait another moment longer.
