Beyonce fans can rejoice as it seems there will be more content for the Beyhive to consume from their queen after her new deal with Netflix.
According to reports, the mega star signed a deal with Netflix worth $60 million which would see her put 2 more specials exclusively on the streaming service.
Netflix acquired the rights to her movie, Homecoming, which took fans behind the scenes of her 2018 Coachella performance which was a sight to behold.
Along with that came a surprise 40-track album with all her Coachella performances and even a brand new song.
According to Stereogum, HBO were also very keen on doing a deal with Beyonce for Homecoming, the two have prior working experience as HBO were responsible for the 2016 visual album Lemonade, her 2013 documentary Life Is But A Dream, and the On The Run concert special. However, they were blown out of the water by Netflix’s offer which they were unable to match therefore making Netflix the winners in this particular bout.
That’s not all, Beyonce’s Lemonade album can now be found on Apple Music and Spotify for the first time since its release after being only available on TIDAL before now.
The Formation singer has had a stellar 2019 so far and it is no more than she deserves with all the hard work she puts in, something that was acknowledged by former colleague and Destiny Child singer, Michelle Williams who put up an Instagram post attesting to Bey’s insane work ethic.
“Great work @beyonce! So proud of you!! Was blessed to personally witness the amount of work you put into this along with your team that you trusted to help execute your vision. You always say “if I dreamed it that means I can do it” OR “don’t tell me something can’t be done, I had a vision so make it happen!” Let this be a message of when God gives you something to do, trust that He’s given you everything you need to make it happen. #Beyflix” she said
