This a common story shared by a lot of artistes who became successful over time. However, this story is a little different!
While speaking with E-Daily, the reggae and dancehall singer explained why it is a bit dangerous to live a flamboyant lifestyle as an artiste. He also revealed that things were not rosy for him when growing up.
While speaking on regret, he made clear that there’s always a lesson learnt from every situation. “I have many wishes and one of them is that I got the chance to finish school.”
He said “Hard work together with smart work pays. Focus and consistency are the keys to a fruitful career and growth in all you do which must reflect. Don’t get carried away with with the hype, it takes much more to succeed and music is our next oil. I have learnt that Talent is just 1% and it takes way more to make a start and maintain stardom. It has only taught me the importance of tunnel vision and the fact that I can’t please everyone.”
He added that; “Anybody who has suffered in the past, should be wise.” Given that he has been in that situation before, hence, the reason he remains focused and consistent.
Since he broke into the Nigeria Music Industry, the award-winning singer has so far, released two albums which were successful. His first album was released in 2016, tilted “God Over Everything”, the second album is his most recent which he released earlier this year, May 17th, 2019, titled ” Wilmer.”
He is responsible for many hit songs such as; My woman, My everything, Happy day, Girlie O, Everyday, Available, Love You Die, This Kind Love, and many more.
He remains one of the most sought after Nigerian Musician who has maintained an average lifestyle.
