With a rematch with Andy Ruiz Jr looming ever closer, Nigerian British boxer, Anthony Joshua has gotten some good luck charm on his finger.
The 29-year-old got a new tattoo which he proudly showed off and it’s a cheeky one.
The tattoo is of a lion and it’s on his middle finger.
Anthony Joshua has the inking done at a local tattoo shop in Southgate, London back in July.
Speaking of the experience, Victor Tsyhanou, the owner of the shop said to the Sun: “He came in the middle of July, we had a quick consultation, he lives not far from Southgate,”
‘We booked him in for the following week – it’s the first time a big name like Anthony has come to the studio.
‘Obviously, there was a lot of attention from locals so we booked him in later in the evening, closed the studio and did him a private session.
‘Because he does boxing, he had some pigmentation on his fists, so he gave us ideas of what he wanted to do.
‘He wanted a little forest, so we decided to do this thing with the moon.’
After suffering a shock defeat back in June, Anthony Joshua has gone head on into practice and training so as to win the rematch slated for December.
There’s a belief that he can win this fight with boxing trainer Peter Fury advising that Joshua use his height to his advantage.
“Look, use your height, use your boxing. Stop going around in a circle like that, when all your body is totally still. Get some lateral movement from the hips, because it’s not just about going around in a circle.
“Go that way, go that way, go that way and get on your jab. Be loose. That’s all he needs to do, and [Ruiz Jr] will tire out, because look, he’ll start throwing caution to the wind.”
