Anne Hathaway is expecting a second baby with husband, jeweller Adam Shulman and she also had some positive words for women struggling with infertility.
The Love, Sex and Other Drugs star announced on Instagram, showing off her baby bump and claiming that it was not for a movie but that it’s actually baby number 2.
She captioned the post: “It’s not for a movie…#2. All kidding aside, for everyone going through infertility and conception hell, please know it was not a straight line to either of my pregnancies. Sending you extra love 💕”
Anne Hathaway gave birth to her first child, Jonathan in 2016 and then she talked about how she was under pressure to get back into rid of the post baby weight.
She had captioned a post of her jeans, “Love what you have been given,
“There is no shame in gaining weight during pregnancy (or ever). There is no shame if it takes longer than you think it will to lose the weight (if you want to lose it at all). There is no shame in finally breaking down and making your own jean shorts because last summer’s are just too dang short for this summer’s thighs. Bodies change. Bodies grow. Bodies shrink. It’s all love (don’t let anyone tell you otherwise).”
More and more celebrities are coming clean with their struggles with fertility and this could perhaps be attributed to the #MeToo movement as it has caused more and more women to speak out not only on sexual assault at the hands of powerful men but also other problems that they are dealing with. This in turn, has helped a lot of people because now they know they are not alone and that there are other women who are struggling through the same things they have to.
Notable celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Gabrielle Union, Chrissy Teigen and so on have spoken about one issue or the other with fertility and this has overall been a positive thing.
Because at the end of the day, all we truly have is each other.
