49-99, a song by Tiwa Savage, has however gotten over a million views on YouTube since it’s release and she is to bring the premier to Lagos state in no distant time.
Wondering What The Buzz Is All About? Here’s why;
“49-99 is the first song released by Tiwa Savage after Mavin Records which was co-written by Olamide and produced by Pheelz.
The song has been traced back to a song done by the late afro-beat legend, FELA KUTI about suffering and smiling!
Tiwa Savage described the numbers which she used as the title as the “Molue Commuting Bus”(a means of transportation in Lagos) where 49 persons are sitting and 99 others are standing. Which simply means, Nigerians suffer and smile at the same time because they feel they have no choice.”
The song is currently the number one trending song in Nigeria.
