“All I Want For Christmas Is You” By Mariah Carey Breaks Three Guinness World Records

The super talented singer, Mariah Carey was honoured by the Guinness World Book Of Record’s Organisation on Monday, 25th of November, 2019.

The singer was honoured with the record for the highest-charting holiday song on the Hot 100 by a solo artist, the most streamed track on Spotify in 24hours and the most weeks in the UK singles Top 10 charts for a Christmas song.

“All I Want For Christmas Is You” garnered a total number of 10.8 million streams on Spotify last Christmas.

The holiday-themed song has been on Billboard Hot100 for 32 weeks and has peaked at No.3 making it the official Christmas song each year.

The mother of two was on tour for “All I Want For Christmas Is You” in Las Vegas when she was presented with the award on stage.

Mariah shared the news with photos on Instagram and her twin daughters shared in her joy and joined to celebrate her victory. However, she appreciated the honour given to her by the organisation with a catchy caption that reads;

“Thank You so much, Guinness World Records for honouring me with three records in the 2020 book! Michael from {Guiness World Records}  presented me with a certificate on stage, so naturally, I asked him to join us for the #AllIWantForChristmastIsYouFinale

Her recent achievement with the Guinness World Book of Records is just another added to the other entries and the one she’s owns, Most U.S. No.1 singles by a solo artist.

Mariah Carey wrote and produced the song with Walter Afanasieff which was released on October 29th, 1994 as the lead single off her fourth studio album and her first-holiday album titled ” Merry Christmas.”

The beautiful singer has recorded a huge amount of success all through her career which has continued to pay off.
