Alaafin still rock “baby-ships” at 80 – Welcomes baby boy with Olori Moji

It is common knowledge that fertility in women mostly starts to hit the decline curve after the age of 35, however, for men, there is increasing evidence that the older a man becomes, the more his fertility diminishes. Well, for the Alaafin of Oyo, the reverse is the case.

Well, I am not.

The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III has welcomed a bouncing baby boy with one of his queens, Olori Moji. The news is coming just months after the king welcomed his third set of twins. The elated mother who couldn’t hide her excitement took to social media to break the news of the baby’s arrival. The Olori also revealed that the name of the latest prince is Kalid Adegboyega Adeyemi as she prayed for him to become great in the world.

Alaafin is the name for the emperor of the Oyo empire. The empire is one of the biggest in Yoruba land and the position of the Alaafin is a very important traditional stature. In 1970, Lamidi Olayiwola Atanda Adeyemi III, commonly known as Oba Adeyemi, has ascended the throne. He was born in 1938 on October 15, he has four wives and numerous children, which doesn’t seem like is stopping anytime soon.

Clearly, Oba lamidi Olayiwola Atanda Adeyemi III is very fertile.

Congratulations to the Alaafin and his Olori.
