The family of A$AP Rocky have come out to express their true feelings on the American rapper’s current situation as he has been remanded to Swedish Prison until the investigation on the charges he’s faced with are concluded. If found guilty, he could spend up to six years in prison.
A cousin of his, named Nikita was interviewed on CBS This Morning, where she revealed how she cried when she heard about her cousin’s arrest. She is happy that the US president, Donald Trump has taken up the case and hopeful that with his interest, Rocky and the two other members of his team will be released. She thanked Mr President for his diplomatic efforts to secure the group’s release.
The father of one of the men arrested, David Rippers, was also interviewed. His son’s name is Dave and he expressed concerns and feelings about the case and his wish that their release will be secured soon.
Although President Trump Has Declared His Support For Rocky And His Team and trying his possible best to secure his release while investigation is still on, some persons have raised concern over the Swedish persecutor bowing to pressure from President Trump and has requested that, they should go harder on rocky to prove that, they won’t be cajoled nor swayed.
Meanwhile, a report from TMZ has stated that Swedish prosecutors believed that, the man filmed harassing Rocky and his crew after being asked to stop, did so in self-defence and for that, he will not face charges. Both the attache and Rocky’s bodyguard have been cleared.
Industry colleagues did not leave the job to President Trump alone, alongside his fans, as a social media campaign has been launched followed by an online petition which has garnered over 600,000 signatures with the hashtag #JusticeForRocky. Various signs and posters have also been placed around Stockholm, where the Rapper performed.
We wish Asap Rocky the best and will keep you updated as the story continues to unfold.
